If you want the real thing this is the place. I stoped by today early afternoon and had a wonderful experience. I had two pieces of fried catfish which were great. Freshly fried and tasty. I had two sides, fried green tomatoes which were the best I've had in years and coleslaw that was just great. The owner was there took my order and helped be change my credit card payment which took some time but he did it with no problem. Good people and good food. I'll be back.
Truly a fantastic hole in the wall! We walked in and were instantly greeted like family. The lady asked if it was our first visit and she went and grabbed us each a piping hot rib wrapped in a napkin to try. It was so delicious that we both ended up getting ribs. They have a menu but the sides for that day were handwritten on the counter and some menu items weren't quite ready off the grill yet. The lady working was so great and made recommendations while helping us make a decision. She was definitely trying to upsell us but I think it's because she actually loves their food and knew it was our first visit. The portions were a lot but the price was reasonable. I loved all of my sides which included potato salad, Mac/cheese, and cornbread. We opted for the sauce on our ribs and chicken which made it messy but it was so worth it. Give these guys a shot! Don't judge them from the outside, it smelled delicious as soon as we parked and we knew we made the right decision.
